Recently, a crime that seemed to be extinct in the spotlight: the abigeato. Because of the recession and rising meat prices, the theft of livestock is likely to cripple the British peasantry. To protect themselves, farmers and ranchers have decided to revive a program created 21 years ago: "Farmwatch.
watching over their farms and those of neighbors, a farmer helps the police to curb theft of livestock, agricultural implements and tractors expensive.
Nothing escapes the fact skilled hands of criminals: geese, pigs, cows, bees and even whole herds of sheep are stolen, especially at night, their respective owners.
Subject of "attention" by the thieves are the quad, increasingly used by modern farmers for short trips, or the fuel that is drawn off from the tanks. When
then to be removed is a harvester, the damage becomes much larger scale: the cost of these machines, it may come to rival that of a Ferrari. Not to mention that the tractors are often held outdoors or kept in places of easy access and does not have an alarm or GPS. The Farmwatch

In questo modo la Polizia ha maggiori informazioni a disposizione e può agire più in fretta se vengono segnalati movimenti sospetti di persone o di veicoli.
