Essentialism,perennialism,progressivism

chicken thief

Recently, a crime that seemed to be extinct in the spotlight: the abigeato.

Because of the recession and rising meat prices, the theft of livestock is likely to cripple the British peasantry. To protect themselves, farmers and ranchers have decided to revive a program created 21 years ago: "Farmwatch.

watching over their farms and those of neighbors, a farmer helps the police to curb theft of livestock, agricultural implements and tractors expensive.

Nothing escapes the fact skilled hands of criminals: geese, pigs, cows, bees and even whole herds of sheep are stolen, especially at night, their respective owners.

Subject of "attention" by the thieves are the quad, increasingly used by modern farmers for short trips, or the fuel that is drawn off from the tanks. When

then to be removed is a harvester, the damage becomes much larger scale: the cost of these machines, it may come to rival that of a Ferrari. Not to mention that the tractors are often held outdoors or kept in places of easy access and does not have an alarm or GPS. The Farmwatch

King Quad 450 In Water

There is a cow wandering on Farmville

Since a couple of years, Great Britain has to face the rising of crimes against farmers.

Nothing is safe: from ducks, to piglets, from fuel to tractors.

The biggest target are sheep. A few months ago in Lancashire a flock of 271 sheep disappeared.

The offenders usually act during night and they know how to handle sheep, because on average anybody does not hear a bleat.

Animals are stolen because of the growth of meat prices, but crime adjust to whatever is currently valuable: tractors and quad bikes are at risk.

We are talking of machines worth a great amount of money, (a combine harvester can cost even £100,000) left outside, without protection. It’s like a Ferrari without antitheft and with a bigger market.

National Farmers Union (NFU) and Police have decided to cooperate to reduce farmers’ losses. So, there’s a revival of interest in Farmwatch , a country version of Neighbourhood Watch, created for the first time 21 years ago.

The teamwork has organized: farmers are on guard and watch livestock, reporting suspicious movements and Police investigate on animal and trucks trading.

Two Italians in Hanover

Shot during argument over World Cup. Murderer has been identified as Holger B., German.

HANOVER – Two Italians were shot and killed on Monday morning in a bar in the red-light district of Hanover, Lower Saxony, German police sources have announced. The Italian Foreign Ministry has confirmed the news.

The three men failed to agree on how many times Italy has won the World Cup.

One of the victims, Franco Siccu 47 years old, was a pizza chef in the Little Italy restaurant in Hanover and the other, Giuseppe Longhitano 49 years old, worked in a pizza restaurant in Linden. Both were wearing Italian football jerseys.

The trouble started when drink had been consumed and the two started arguing with the other customer about how many times Italy has won the World Cup. Holger B. left the bar saying he had to get some money from an ATM. An hour later, he returned and invited Longhitano to continue the discussion outside. When the Italian got up, Holger B. produced a gun, shot him and then Franco Siccu as well before making his escape on foot.
The murder weapon was found a few yards from the bar.

Crimes Murdered in "height "In Chicago

In ogni città del mondo esistono delle zone “bene” e dei luoghi malfamati. Ci vorrebbe una cartina che and providing information to indicate which roads are the places where it should stay away. On his blog

Doug McCune has collected data on crimes committed in San Francisco in the whole of 2009 and has developed them into maps.

generated images give an aerial view of the city, with peaks like mountains on the most common crimes.

made even more plausible the view that the city seems to be illuminated from the east by the rising sun.

Here, for example, the "findings" of drug arrests:

and those related to prostitution:

Skip immediately to my attention that the highest peaks of the two images coincide, suggesting that certain types of crime "live" and are fed with each other.

theft auto but instead is spread evenly throughout the city:

Even assaults and vandalism are widespread, and the two maps can be superimposed almost as if to indicate that degradation is contagious.

We save only the areas most frequented by tourists such as the harbor and the Golden Gate Bridge: there are no mountains here, just plain.
